Data Aggregator Takes on RMBS Trader as Senior Analyst

BlackBox Logic, an aggregation service providing loan-level collateral data for non-agency residential mortgage-backed securities hired former RMBS trader Cory Lambert as a senior MBS analyst. “Cory’s trading desk experience will be invaluable as we deliver customized loan-level data solutions for a wide variety of mortgage market participants” said Larry Barnett, CEO of BlackBox, in a statement. The move is indicative of a growing need for expert analytics as investor demand for private label MBS is growing in the wake of the recent non-agency jumbo RMBS by Redwood Trust (RWT). Lambert previously worked the non-agency RMBS desk at Braddock Financial. In his new role, Lambert will build collateral analytics using BBx Data, BlackBox’s integrated, aggregated data service. He will also work with web-based delivery platforms, and 1010data, the raw data analytics firm. Write to Jacob Gaffney. The author holds no relevant investments.
