VIDEO: loanDepot goes Lone Star

Making its footprint in the suburbs of Plano, Texas, loanDepot joins corporations such as Pepsico and even HousingWire in north Dallas.

Retail mortgage lender loanDepot opened its new co-headquarters in Plano, Texas, conveniently located just a mile up the road from HousingWire’s office.

Fresh out of the package, you can still get a hint of the new office smell as employees settle into their desks and others, who transferred from California, get accustomed to the new city.

The grand reveal marks the fourth location for the company, which also has offices in Foothill Ranch, Calif., Scottsdale, Ariz. and Brentwood, Tenn.

The mortgage lender projects to have about 250 employees in the first nine months and eventually grow to more than 1,000 in the next three years.

“We offer this service to all 50 states, and for a company as young as us to come out this fast and to have this much demand and this much success tells you the amount of demand from customers that are seeking a fast reliable trustworthy lender,” said CEO and Founder Anthony Hsieh (he’s also in the video below).

“From our point of view as a good corporate citizen, it is just critically important for us to go through this transitioning period where the industry can support the needs of America from both a purchase and refinance point of view,” Hsieh said.

There are and still plenty of unattended desks ready and eager to be filled with new employees, paving the way for the growth to come.
