REMAX Premier’s presence in the Greater Chicagoland area just got that much stronger. On Wednesday, the REMAX franchise announced its acquisition of five Compass offices.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The five offices are located in Glencoe, Glenview, Highland Park, Lake Forest and Winnetka, and they will all be part of The REMAX Collection, the brand’s luxury division. This acquisition is fueling the luxury division’s expansion into the North Shore of the Windy City.
“REMAX is more than a brand — it’s a platform built for productivity, innovation, and agent empowerment,” Janice Corley, the founder and CEO of REMAX Premier, said in a statement. “We’re excited to expand that value to the North Shore.”
This expansion now brings the Premier office count to 10 offices, which are home to hundreds of agents from Chicago to Houston, Texas.
A Compass source told HousingWire that the acquisition was part of the company’s plan to reduce its brick-and-mortar presence in Chicago after its acquisition of Chicago-based @properties Christie’s International Real Estate.
