NeighborWorks Opens New Reverse Mortgage Info Call Center

NeighborWorks America has opened a reverse mortgage call center based in Cleveland to provide callers with general information about the loans.

The Reverse Mortgage Information Center, or “RMIC,” operates from NeighborWorks’ Neighborhood Housing Services of Greater Cleveland, Inc. to offer one-on-one reverse mortgage counseling. The center was launched in part by support provided by the Atlantic Philanthropies as apart of a $2.5 million, two and a half-year collaboration with an eye toward improving quality of life for low income seniors.

The launch of the call center is in conjunction with Older Americans Month, during which the organization is highlighting its work to help Americans age in place or continue to live in their homes or communities safely and independently.

“NeighborWorks America recognizes the importance of assisting older adults so they can age in a healthy, safe way in their communities,” said NeighborWorks America CEO Eileen Fitzgerald. “Our NeighborWorks organizations are providing daily, on-the-ground work to ensure older adults and their families have the resources they need to thrive.”
