Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) recently made several new hires to expand its Capital Markets business along the West Coast. The company brought on John Manning as managing director on the real estate investment banking team with a focus on Northern California and the Pacific Northwest region. Manning is responsible for expanding the firm’s client services in debt and equity sourcing, note sales and loan originations. Manning came to Jones Lang LaSalle from Highland Realty Capital and with 12 years of industry experience. Joe Leon was hired as managing director with the task of broadening the firm’s West Coast multifamily investment sales. Leon was formerly a partner at several major commercial real estate firms, according to Jones Lang LaSalle. Paul Lee is the newly named managing director for Jones Lang LaSalle’s San Francisco market, where he will be responsible for expanding sales, acquisition, joint venture and financing endeavors. Lee spent the past 10 years as principal and chief financial officer of Silverwing Development, where he was responsible for all debt, equity and asset management operations. Jones Lang LaSalle hired Charlie McPhee as managing director. He is based in Los Angeles and focuses on investment sales in the industrial sector. McPee works under John Huguenard, managing director and head of national industrial investment sales. As a 27-year veteran of the industry, McPhee previously worked with retail property investor Macerich as senior vice president of development. Michelle Schierberl is now managing director in Orange County, where she is in charge of retail investment sales for the West Coast. In her 20 years in the industry, Schierberl brokered $1.5 billion in sales, primarily in retail investments and commercial land projects. Jones Lang LaSalle is a financial services firm that specializes in commercial real estate. The firm currently manages more than $43 billion in assets. Write to Christine Ricciardi.
