Black Knight: Home prices barely nudge

10.1% off its 2006 peak

Home prices barely nudged on Black Knight Financial Service’s August home price index, moving it just 10.1% off from its 2006 peak.

The national home price index remained relatively flat, increasing .1% to $241.

Meanwhile, eight of the 40 largest metros hit new highs in August, with nearly half of the 20 largest states registering monthly declines in home prices.

Detroit led area metro home price increases for the second consecutive month, growing .9% for the month.
