Theodora’s career began as a loan officer in 1980, and he successfully managed several mortgage companies, gaining firsthand insight into lenders’ needs. In 1987, he co-founded DocMagic, playing a pivotal role in establishing its reputation as a trusted and forward-thinking mortgage solution provider. As CEO, Theodora continues to energize teams, strengthen industry partnerships, and drive key initiatives. Over the past year, DocMagic has fast-tracked major innovations, including its all-in-one platform powered by integrated AI. The company became the first to enable electronic Home Equity Line of Credit (eHELOC) registration on the MERS® eRegistry, maintaining its track record of industry firsts.
Theodora is a frequent presence at major industry conferences, leveraging his relationships to strengthen partnerships. He also maintains a commitment to service, holding a board role with Torrance Memorial Medical Center and engaging in volunteer and fundraising activities with organizations like the YMCA and the Boy Scouts of America.
Under Theodora’s leadership, DocMagic has completed the mortgage industry’s first eHELOC registration with MERS® and expanded its customer base, adding hundreds of new lenders despite industry challenges. The company has enhanced its AI-driven capabilities to boost efficiency and deliver deeper business insights. A major national lender has begun a nationwide ramp-up of DocMagic services, projected to cover 90% of their loan volume by the first quarter of next year.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Handle the hardest things first.” Early in my career, I was told to tackle bad news or difficult conversations first thing in the morning. It clears the path for everything else, and I’ve lived by that for over four decades.
