MBA Chair Laura Escobar on her top three housing initiatives

Pulling from her 37 years of experience in the housing industry, Laura Escobar, President of Lennar Mortgage, officially became the 2025 Chair of the Mortgage Bankers Association earlier this year. Escobar is focused on addressing the many challenges facing the mortgage industry and has identified her top three initiatives for the housing sector in her new role. These include tackling the extreme shortage of housing supply and improving affordability for both ownership and renting.
