Las Vegas notary public guilty in robo-signing scheme found dead
Nov 29, 2011A Las Vegas notary public who was scheduled to be sentenced for her part in a foreclosure robo-signing scheme was found dead in her home Monday after she failed to show up for sentencing. NBC’s KSNV-TV out of Las Vegas reported the death on Tuesday afternoon, and the Nevada Attorney General’s Office confirmed it to HousingWire later in the day. The TV station referred to Tracy Lawrence as a whistleblower in a larger robo-signing investigation that resulted in the first criminal charges for the filing of faulty foreclosure documents.
