AIG reports $4.1 billion loss for 3Q, mortgage guaranty losses narrow
Nov 03, 2011American International Group [stock AIG][/stock] reported a loss of $4.1 billion in the third quarter, widening 64% from a $2.5 billion loss in the year-ago period. The federally bailed-out insurer said in its earnings report released Thursday that quarterly results “were negatively affected by several macroeconomic drivers.”
