Consumer Confidence in Housing Market Weakens
Jul 12, 2011Americans adults surveyed in Fannie Mae's Monthly National Housing Survey now expect home prices to decline in the next 12 months. The survey of 1,000 adults found an expectation that home values will decline by 0.5% in the coming year. This marks the first negative reading in the survey in the past year. The number of respondents who felt that home prices would rise fell by 6 percentage points from May to 22%.
