Bucking the Trend: Detroit Lender Looking to Boost Staff
Mar 28, 2008A local Detroit mortgage company said Friday that it’s actually looking to hire up to 100 additional employees — a surprising sign of growth in a local economy that has just been decimated by foreclosure activity. Shore Mortgage, which operates four locations throughout the Detroit metropolitan area, said that the company is looking to hire underwriters, loan officers and support personnel — a 30 percent bump in staffing.
