Mortgage Rates Fall Slightly
Mar 12, 2009After turning upward last week, mortgage rates eased a bit in the week ending March 12, according to Freddie Mac’s [stock FRE][/stock] Primary Mortgage Market Survey released Thursday. 30-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 5.03 percent with an average 0.7 point, down from last week’s 5.15 percent average, and far below the average last year at this time — 6.13 percent.
