Urban Financial Names Industry Veteran to Oversee Midwest Retail Division

Urban Financial of America, LLC, has hired industry veteran Ron Bartley as Midwest area manager for the No. 3-ranked reverse mortgage lender’s Retail Sales Division.

“With nearly a decade in the reverse mortgage industry and 40 years’ mortgage experience, Ron is truly a seasoned mortgage veteran who brings expertise, client knowledge and exceptional recruiting talent to the table,” said National Retail Sales Vice President Scott Norman, in a statement.

Previously, Bartley was the Midwest area sales manager at American Advisors Group (AAG). Prior to that, he was a Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) advisor and central region team leader for Liberty Home Equity Solutions.

He also held reverse mortgage sales positions with Metlife Home Loans, Generation Mortgage Company and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. While at Metlife, he earned a membership in the Top Producers’ Club.

“In addition to enjoying the educational aspect of working with senior clients, I’m looking forward to growing the business-to-business opportunities with Urban,” Bartley said.

Earlier this month, Urban also added industry veterans Tony Arnold and Tom Holsworth to oversee the its Retail Call Center business.

The lender has ranked as the nation’s number one wholesale reverse mortgage originator since December 2001, based on trailing 12 months’ endorsement volume tracked by Reverse Market Insight. As of February 2015, Urban ranked third overall for both retail and wholesale endorsements.
