First American Title Insurance Company has named Tara Smith as its new executive vice president of enterprise growth and multi-brand strategy, according to an announcement on Thursday.
In this role, the firm said Smith will be responsible for driving growth across all facets of the firm and managing its multi-brand strategy. She will also serve as the executive sponsor of First American’s Leadership Forum.
“Tara brings a powerful combination of industry expertise, strategic vision, and customer focus,” Sally Tyler, the president of First American Title, said in a statement. “She’s ideally suited to drive strategic growth planning across the enterprise and accelerate our multi-brand strategy.”
Smith is not a newcomer to First American, having joined the firm in 2024, serving as a direct title group executive. Prior to this, she served as group president at Stewart Title, leading its title agency group. She is a two-time recipient of HousingWire’s Women of Influence award and is a former member of the American Land Title Association’s Board of Governors.
During Q2 2025, First American’s title segment revenue rose to $1.7229 billion, up from $1.5219 billion a year ago, while pretax income for the segment also rose, jumping from $177.4 million in Q2 2024 to $216.7 million in Q2 2025.
