Founder and CEO of Revestor, Bill Lyons, compares his real estate app to Zillow and Trulia. Last Friday, he appeared on the reality TV show Shark Tank to pitch his product. And just two weeks ago, the company announced the nationwide availability of the app. So what is Revestor and is it something that should be on your radar?
Lyons explains his strategy by saying, “Zillow and Trulia are currently #1 and #2 in the space, with less than 2% of the market, leaving plenty of room for us to take our share.”
Essentially, Revestor is a real estate search engine for homebuyers and investors via mobile or home. Until October, Revestor’s real estate technology was only available in select cities and metropolitan markets. However, consumers and investors are now able to use the free iPhone app regardless of geographic location.
For real estate professionals, the benefit of this app seems to be “coming soon.” According to the Revestor website, agents, brokers and realtors will be able to advertise on the site once the targeted ads are finished being developed. Other features that the website promises to be coming soon include Android capabilities, profiles to allow networking and premium accounts.
As far as the Shark Tank experience for Bill Lyons and his product…there were no bites. Below is a clip of the episode.
