ReverseVision Launches Professional Services Division

ReverseVision, Inc. is launching a Professional Services division to help reverse mortgage lenders and brokers be more successful and meet their business goals, the company announced Thursday.

Through on-site visits and hands-on training, the RV Professional Services group hopes to refine lenders’ processes and identify areas that can benefit from improvement.

A key component of the new division will include a review process to ensure clients are compliant with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) audit requirements. RV Professional Services is also developing enhanced online training materials, including self-administered interactive tutorials.

To lead the division, ReverseVision has announced that mortgage industry veteran and the company’s former head of product management, Jeff Birdsell, will serve as vice president. ReverseVision Vice President Rob Katz will serve as head of product management.

Birdsell brings to the position 22 years of experience in the mortgage industry, focusing on the home equity conversion mortgage (HECM) and other reverse mortgage products. Prior to joining ReverseVision two years ago, he consulted with Generation Mortgage, provided consulting services for other reverse mortgage software providers, and for more than a decade held CIO and product development roles with Financial Freedom.

Earlier this year, ReverseVision launched RV University, an online education platform created to teach mortgage professionals about the reverse mortgage industry. Since then, ReverseVision began offering a free online course on key program changes related to non-borrowing spouses and updates to principal limit factors, which went into effect last month.
