RE/MAX has a new real estate search website. The problem? It doesn’t work right now

Real estate giant’s real estate search is “under construction”

Real estate giant RE/MAX appears to have launched a new real estate search website, part of an overhaul of the company’s web experience. But there’s a problem. Searching for real estate on the site doesn’t actually work right now.

Visitors to remax.com right now are currently greeted with a search bar. Above it is the phrase “Don’t worry, we’ve done this a million times.”

Below the search is a note showing how recently the site’s real estate listings were updated.

When HousingWire visited the site Monday evening, the site stated that its listings were updated 15 minutes earlier.

But when a visitor tries to actually search for a home for sale, they’re out of luck.

Rather than seeing listing after listing from one of the country’s largest real estate brokerages, they are instead greeted by the following message: “Thank you for visiting! We are currently “under construction” as we make improvements to our digital home. We will be up and running as soon as possible. Stay tuned for a whole new experience.”

Multiple attempts to search for properties in various cities, zip codes, school districts and other factors all ended without any homes shown for sale.

The site’s mobile version also appears to be down. Attempts to access the real estate search via mobile were greeted with a “502 ERROR,” with the phrase “The request could not be satisfied.”

When contacted by HousingWire, a company spokesperson said of the site: “Our team is aware of the issue and working hard to resolve it along with a few other last-minute tweaks.”

However, the point of this tracker is to show you evidence that lower rates have already changed housing data. So, let’s […]
