Primary Residential Mortgage (PRMI)’s Steven J. Sless Group, the lender’s consumer-direct retail branch focused solely on reverse mortgages in Owings Mills, Md., has hired Brandy Nickoles as reverse mortgage processing manager. She brings with her nearly 15 years of combined wholesale and retail experience that she will use to bolster the group’s efforts.
“Brandy will oversee and manage all aspects of our processing department,” said Steven Sless, reverse mortgage division manager with PRMI and branch manager with The Steven J. Sless Group in an email to RMD. “Our goal is to build a processing and operation department to support the needs of our loan originators, allowing them to focus on bringing in new business without being concerned about clearing conditions, chasing documents and working with investors. Brandy is the perfect leader of this department.”
Nickoles and Sless previously worked together for 6 years prior to her hiring at PRMI, which made her hiring at the Sless Group a natural step.
“I worked with Brandy for six years as she helped us grow two other reverse mortgage platforms to Top 15 status nationwide,” Sless added. “Having worked with her in the past, I have the utmost confidence in her talent and abilities.”
Timing-wise, the branding efforts of the Sless Group are helping to feed the growth of the loan pipeline, which is seeing growth month over month, Sless tells RMD. Nickoles’ hiring will also help ensure that customers are being adequately served in a critical period of growth, in which the company is preparing to make a transition.
“Additionally, as a company we are preparing to make the transition from broker to principle agent lender in April,” Sless told RMD. “Brandy has extensive experience on the principle agent and direct lending side of the business. She is a tremendous asset and we are so excited to be reunited with her.”
Nickoles relates excitement at what the future holds for her new role.

Sless Group of PRMI,” Nickoles said in a press release announcing her hiring. “It’s clear this team cares deeply for its clients. I look forward to working together to provide our borrowers with a top-notch reverse mortgage experience.”
PRMI opened the Steven J. Sless Group in the summer of 2019 as the first branch for the company that deals exclusively with reverse mortgages.
