Kansas City-based Platinum Realty, a United Real Estate company, has expanded through a merger with metro neighbor SunWest Real Estate Advisors.
SunWest, founded by Jerry Braklow, said joining Platinum Realty and its parent company offers agents greater resources without changing the firm’s culture.
“Our agents were empowered to move into a larger organization, yet still have that small, local feel,” he said. “This is a strategic growth partnership where agents can grow without disruption while gaining national reach, best-in-class technology and new opportunities.”
SunWest Broker and Partner Monet Deshler said the merger combines boutique service with the resources of a national network.
“We’re marrying the high-touch feel of a luxury boutique with the strength and tools of United’s national network,” she said. “That includes national training, advanced marketing and a referral network that brings continuity and confidence for our clients — whether they’re buying in Kansas City or relocating from across the country.”
Founded in 2005, Platinum Realty’s reach has now expanded to more than 2,500 agents across 11 Midwest offices under the United Real Estate network.
Plans also include launching a new luxury division that will provide agents with certification programs, specialized branding, marketing plans and access to high-net-worth client resources.
Rob Hill, Platinum Realty’s director of growth and market development, said the company is aiming to change how luxury real estate is marketed in the region.
“We are creating something special at Platinum Realty that will set the groundwork for a different kind of luxury experience,” he said. “When it’s unwrapped, it’s going to be better than anything our market has seen.”
