Loan-Score Decisioning Systems, a provider of enterprise-class automated underwriting solutions, said Thursday afternoon that it had hired industry vet Jon McGuire as chief technology officer. McGuire brings more than 10 years of mortgage technology experience to the Irvine, Calif.-based mortgage tech firm. As CTO, he will drive Loan-Score’s development strategy to deliver highly configurable, flexible and scalable solutions that can integrate with disparate systems using next-generation Web services and contemporary architecture design. “I have worked with Loan-Score’s rules engine and automated underwriting system at several companies in the past,” said McGuire. “The current downturn in the mortgage industry has opened up tremendous opportunities for those vendors whose development efforts and architecture design is well positioned to transcend beyond what older technology platforms can offer.” Most recently, McGuire was principal at ex10sion, Inc., a custom mortgage technology software firm that designs applications to automate the lending process from lead distribution, decisioning, document preparations, integration and wiring. Before ex10sion, he worked as the director of business applications and development at Stonecreek Funding, a national mortgage banker that originated and sold subprime loans. McGuire also has worked at Philadelphia-based Wilmington Finance, where he was in charge of custom development for both internal and external applications, and held various roles in loan sales. McGuire is a frequent speaker on mortgage technology panels, most notably talking on the subject of lending processes automation and system integration to help bankers run their business more efficiently.
