Landmark President and COO Steps Down

Major reverse mortgage appraisal firm Landmark Network, Inc. late last week announced that its president and COO of the past six years has stepped down.

Hunter Gorog is leaving the Van Nuys, Calif.-based firm “to pursue other professional opportunities,” though he will remain with Landmark as a partner and director of the company’s board.

Gorog first joined Landmark in 2010 as its managing director, and rose to the level of president and COO two years later.

“Hunter has been critical to Landmark’s success and our explosive growth over the last eight years,” Landmark founder and CEO Erik Richard said in a statement announcing Gorog’s departure. “His integral role in developing our software platform has strengthened the company’s competitiveness and leaves Landmark well-positioned to build on Hunter’s success.”

Over the past year, the firm has made multiple expansion pushes in both the forward and reverse appraisal spaces, rolling out a wholesale-lender support system in December and a new-construction division in June.

“I am very proud of everything Landmark has accomplished and have been honored to work in partnership with Erik and our incredibly talented team over the past eight years,” Gorog said in a statement. “Landmark continues to drive towards its long-term vision of leveraging technology to transform the valuation space, and I’m excited about the achievements we’ve made and the strong outlook ahead for the company.”
