Haughey joins NMHC

As the National Multi Housing Council’s new vice president of property operations and technology, Rick Haughey will direct the council’s property operations and technology information resources.

“Rick brings an extensive background in multifamily and housing, working with associations, members, committees and contractors to develop conference programming, books, white papers, toolkits and other benchmarking resources,” said Kim Duty, senior vice president at NMHC.

Haughey has more than two decades of experience in pubic, private and nonprofit housing.

His previous experience includes serving as director of multifamily development at the Urban Land Institute.

He moves to NMHC from his position as director of affordable housing initiatives at the Corporation for Enterprise Development.

The University of Maryland graduate also served as a senior fellow at the Center for Housing Policy and the National Housing Conference.

“He will dramatically expand NMHC’s ability to deliver high-level business intelligence to senior apartment executives,” Duty said.”
