Finance of America Hires Reverse Mortgage Veteran as Senior Compliance Officer

National mortgage lender, Finance of America announced that it has hired new Senior Compliance Officer, Sarah Cavanaugh to join the team. Her primary responsibility will be to oversee the company’s reverse mortgage brand, Finance of America Reverse.

Cavanaugh comes to Finance of America with 25 years of industry experience. Prior to joining the company, she held roles throughout the reverse mortgage industry including a position at 1st Reverse Mortgage USA as a quality assurance officer.

Before 1st Reverse Mortgage USA Cavanaugh was the senior vice president at both Seattle Mortgage Company and EverBank Reverse Mortgage, according to a press release.

“Sarah brings a wealth of risk and compliance experience in the reverse space,” Kristen Sieffert, president of Finance of America Reverse, said in the release. “Her expertise in both reverse mortgage origination and risk mitigation make her an asset to Finance of America. We are very pleased to welcome her to the team.”

Cavanaugh also is the ex-officio board member for the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA) and sits on numerous committees throughout the industry. Previously, she served as a member of the AARP Reverse Mortgage Counseling Advisory Group.

I look forward to leveraging my skills and experience for FAR as well as continuing to support the reverse industry through my involvement in various industry groups.”
