California Regional MLS (CRMLS), the nation’s largest MLS, and Stellar MLS, Florida’s largest MLS, announced that they’ve entered into a reciprocal data sharing agreement.
Tuesday’s announcement, combined with the news from October 2024 that CRMLS and Bright MLS had entered into their own reciprocal agreement, means that nearly 300,000 real estate professionals now have access to listing data in locations they previously could not access via their home MLS subscription.
The MLSs say that agreements like these are becoming more important as Americans become more mobile and seek to purchase properties far from their current homes.
“CRMLS is always seeking new ways to bring value to our agents, and we believe there is no data quite as valuable as MLS data,” Art Carter, the CEO of CRMLS, said in a statement.
“We’ve been steadily expanding our network of reciprocal access and data share partners to not only make interstate transactions much easier but also to foster a better-connected network of real estate professionals from across the nation. It’s an exciting moment and I look forward to our agents seeing what value our partnership with Stellar MLS can bring them.”
The real estate industry has seen some high profile data sharing agreements announced in the past six months.
In May, Central Virginia MLS announced its data integration with Bright MLS. In February, California’s MetroList, the Northern Nevada Regional MLS (NNRLMS) and Oregon Data Share (ODS) announced their agreement to share real-time data insights.
