Atlanta Credit Counseling Agency Ramping Up Staff

Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) of Greater Atlanta said onMonday that it is seeking to hire approximately 130 new managers, counselors and customer service representatives, in part to increase its counseling services to tens of thousands of Americans nationwide seeking to save their homes and avoid foreclosure. The new employees will work in the agency’s offices in downtown Atlanta and Duluth, Georgia. The agency said that approximately 45 of the new positions hired will be housing managers and counselors. The Atlanta-based agency is one of the nation’s leading nonprofit counseling agencies helping people seek solutions to foreclosure. It provides counseling to homeowners in all 50 states 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through a 24-hour hotline, 1-888-995-HOPE. A number of foreclosure prevention and credit counseling organizations are ramping up staff as borrower delinquencies increase and the spectre of recession looms over the U.S. economy at the start of 2008.
