I'm a fairly new reporter on the HousingWire team, and this week was my first experience traveling to cover an industry event.
I landed in San Francisco on Monday to report at the fourth annual Ellie Mae Classic, a celebrity golf tournament that supports the Mortgage Bankers Association's Opens Doors Foundation. The event features a Community Pro-Am and a Celebrity Shootout to raise funds for families with sick kids by paying their mortgage or rent.
I spent the day connecting with industry players in the name of a great cause at TPC Stonebrae, where the lush golf course rolled into breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay. Check out my video above to see how the day went.
