2018 Women of Influence: Cara Whitley

Global Chief Marketing Officer of Century 21 Real Estate

Cara Whitley

In her role as global chief marketing officer for Century 21 Real Estate, Cara Whitley leads the marketing, advertising and digital media efforts for the world’s largest real estate franchise organization, which has a presence in 80 countries and territories worldwide.

A 20-year veteran of loyalty marketing, business development, strategy and change management, Whitley has extensive experience in leading marketing teams in a global and multicultural environment.

In 2018, Whitely spearheaded a campaign to usher in the largest brand identity transition in the franchise’s history. With the mission to defy the mediocrity and complacency that has taken hold of the real estate industry, Whitley and her team unveiled a new visual identity and watermark, along with launching a multichannel campaign, plus an integrated media partnership with ESPN.

Whitley also spearheaded a recruitment campaign targeting the relentless midnight-oil burners called “Join the Relentless.” The campaign was strategically timed to connect with prospects in the wee hours of the night and morning, targeting entrepreneur self-starters, doers and workhorses – whether they are up early, on the go, or always on.
