Donna Ross, Radian’s chief information security officer, has brought cybersecurity awareness to the forefront of the company’s business since she joined in 2016. Ross has led several initiatives at Radian, including a program that standardized its approach to application security.
Ross, who has more than 20 years of risk, compliance, cybersecurity and technology experience, recognized the systemic issues and drove her team to implement a standard approach, inclusive of a metrics program, and normalized how Radian applies application security on behalf of its customers and borrowers. This significantly increased both the visibility and adherence to security standards, and led to a net-increase in protection for almost 100 million borrowers.
Ross also sponsored and led Radian’s approach for advanced cyber threat detection, which saw the company adopt and integrate an advanced set of security-monitoring capabilities, including subsidiaries and acquisitions. Through this approach, Radian has increased security monitoring by almost 500%. Ross has received three commendations from the FBI, as well as recognition by GMAC and Prudential. She serves on the board of directors for Anna Crusis and InfraGard. She has also written for and contributed to several publications as a subject matter expert.
