Calyx Software, a mortgage software solutions provider, brought on Bob Dougherty as the vice president of business development.
Dougherty’s new position will require him to develop Calyx Software’s overall partner strategy, build relationships with key mortgage industry influencers and vendors and increase interface usage and revenues.
“We’re pleased to have a visionary and strategic leader like Bob join our team,” Executive Vice President Dennis Boggs said. “He has an excellent reputation as a highly effective team builder who can help improve customer experience and long-term loyalty.”
In Dougherty’s 20 years of operational and business development experience in the mortgage industry, he was most recently the vice president of mortgage operations at Merchants Bank in Winona, Minnesota. There, he led operation and secondary marketing functions for its mortgage banking division. Before that, he was executive vice president at Boom Brother Commercial Capital, an intermediary consulting firm facilitating commercial financing for commercial/multi-family buildings with specialization in difficult-to-fund loans.
Dougherty also served as chief executive officer at Timberland Mortgage Services, a former lender and underwriter for residential mortgage loans. Dougherty began his career in loan officer/management roles. He received his bachelor of science in finance at St. Cloud State University, and his master of business administration at Concordia University.
