Todd Sherman, co-founder and president of Motivity Solutions, a software developer that provides a business management platform for mortgage bankers, passed away over the weekend, he was 45 years old.
According to a company letter, co-founder and brother Tyler Sherman sent out to clients and partners, Todd passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack while exercising over the weekend.
“People say things happen for a reason and that there is a master plan for everything, no matter how tragic. I think that is something that people say to explain the unexplainable. I cannot accept that. This was a senseless and random tragedy,” said Sherman in a letter he wrote for Todd’s website.
“I have lost my brother, my best friend, and my inspiration, and Todd made me the man and father I am today. The world has lost the most amazing husband, father, brother, son, friend and human being. He left behind a legacy and spirit that will forever be the foundation of the Sherman Family,” added Sherman.
Sherman leaves behind his wife of 17 years and his three children.
Tyler also mentions people are encouraged to donate to the Sherman Entrepreneurship Foundation instead of sending flowers. The foundation honoring his brother Todd, was created and dedicated to “fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs.”
“With your support, we plan to continue to fulfill the vision my brother and I put into place when we founded Motivity in 2006,” said Sherman.
“You can expect to see us continuing our growth and constantly improving our offerings as we build technology solutions and business intelligence to help you grow your competitive advantage. After all, that’s what Todd would have wanted us to do. His incomparable spirit will be with us always,” stated Sherman.
According to the company’s website, as co-founder and President of Motivity Solutions, Todd Sherman is responsible for all aspects of software development as well as the day-to-day operations and strategic implementations for the company.
Prior to co-founding Motivity, Sherman was co-owner of of Watermark Financial Partners.
