Daniel Consuegra, the managing partner of the Law Offices of Daniel C. Consuegra, is joining the Florida law firm of Shapiro Fishman & Gache, a member of the LOGS Network.
The new firm will be renamed Shapiro Fishman Consuegra & Gache. Consuegra will partner with the firm’s current leadership on management of the new firm.
Consuegra will also directly oversee Title & Abstract Agency of America, the firm’s affiliated title company.
Consuegra’s firm also maintained its own title company, Consuegra Title.
A Monday report from the Tampa Bay Business Journal cited a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification letter with the state of Florida, in which Consuegra indicated that the firm intended to lay off 154 employees.
The Tampa Bay Business Journal report also stated that the firm’s title company, Consuegra Title, would be closed and all of its 28 employees will be let go.
Scott Brinkley, the CEO of the LOGS Network, a legal and outsourcing solutions provider for the residential mortgage industry, told HousingWire Tuesday that the Tampa Bay Business Journal report isn’t completely accurate.
Brinkley said that Consuegra planned to bring “key personnel” with him to the new firm from both the firm that bore his name and the title company as well.
