[Correction: A previous version of this article stated that RE/MAX, Realty Executives and Leading Real Estate Companies of the World would be providing listing data to ListHub. The brokerages will be receiving national-level data from ListHub, not the other way around.]
ListHub announced the renewal of two listing agreements that will continue the flow of information from ListHub to two of the nation’s largest real estate franchises.
Under the terms of the agreements, RE/MAX and Realty Executives will continue receiving national-level data from ListHub as members of ListHub’s Real Estate Network.
ListHub also announced Wednesday a new listing agreement with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (LeadingRE) that will add the LeadingRE companies to ListHub’s Real Estate Network.
“ListHub’s REN empowers franchise publishers and broker networks like Leading Real Estate Companies of the World to index and display accurate, broker-authorized listings on their national brand websites and mobile apps, providing a world-class real estate search experience for home buyers and sellers,” ListHub said in a release.
“Multiple listing services and brokers who have opted in to display listings on this network are able to increase the exposure for their listings on brand name real estate websites and mobile apps while maintaining tight control of where their listings are published,” ListHub added.
ListHub is operated by Move, which is owned by News Corp (NWS) and also operates Realtor.com for the National Association of Realtors.
ListHub also currently provides listing data to Trulia and Zillow (Z), although the relationship between the companies is hardly pleasant these days.
The companies are currently involved in a legal fight after Move-owned ListHub informed Trulia that it was terminating its listing agreement with Trulia, effective Feb. 26.
Zillow filed for a temporary restraining order against Move, requesting ListHub to continue providing listing data to Trulia. A California judge ruled that ListHub is required to continue to provide listing data to Trulia until at least March 12, when Move and the Zillow Group are due in court again.
Zillow announced its own decision to cancel its listing agreement with ListHub in January. As it stands now, ListHub listings will disappear from Zillow on April 7.
Until those situations are resolved, ListHub listings will continue to appear on Zillow and Trulia.
And thanks to these agreements, ListHub data will continue to flow to RE/MAX, Realty Executives and LeadingRE.
“We’re proud that ListHub’s REN will continue to serve RE/MAX and Realty Executives, empowering their agents to make connections with home buying consumers on their websites and mobile applications,” Celeste Starchild, ListHub’s vice president and general manager, said.
“We’re also pleased to announce that our broker and MLS customers will now be able to bring their listings to a new audience of home buyers and sellers on LeadingRE.com,” Starchild continued. “Agreements with these networks signify a mutual long-term commitment to manage listings data and advertising exposure through a single industry platform.”
Pam O’Connor, LeadingRE’s president and chief executive officer, said that the agreement with ListHub represents a “big leap forward” for LeadingRE.
“This new agreement with ListHub’s REN broadens the range of online services we are able to provide our members in two different ways,” O’Connor said.
“Not only does it arm us with the ability to amplify online exposure for our members’ listings, it will help us offer an all-inclusive listings search experience on our website and better connect real estate professionals with transaction-ready home buyers and sellers, O’Connor concluded. “Our alignment with the REN marks a big leap forward in value that we will provide to our network of independent brokerage firms.”
