Open Mortgage names Katherine Leddy director of business development

Will lead company’s expansion of its correspondent lending operations

Open Mortgage announced the addition of Katherine Leddy as director of business development. In this role, Leddy is tasked with growing Open Mortgage’s bank and credit union mortgage lending programs.

Leddy joins Open Mortgage from Crescent Mortgage Company, where she’s spent the last 14 years. Leddy joined Crescent in 2000 as an account executive. During her time at Crescent, Leddy served as account executive for Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Florida, Texas and Washington, D.C.

“Katherine is a rare combination of talent and proven producer in the banking and credit union market,” Open Mortgage’s Vice President of Sales Peter Kallodaychsak said. “I am very excited to have someone of her caliber join our team here at Open Mortgage and spearhead our efforts in that segment.”

While at Crescent, Leddy increased her pipeline from $0 to $45 million and closed up to $20 million of loans per month, Open Mortgage said in a release. “In less than 3 years, Katherine grew the southern territory of Texas from zero production to funding over $10 million loans per month,” the company added.

"I'm very excited to add Katherine to the Open family,” Open Mortgage CEO Scott Gordon said. “Her knowledge and experience with community banks and credit unions is invaluable to our correspondent program."

The company also said that the addition of Leddy is key to the company’s planned expansion of its correspondent lending operations.

“I’m thrilled to offer my expertise to a company that is poised to be a leader in bank and credit union mortgage lending,” Leddy added.
