A Florida man made a shocking discovery when he toured a foreclosed home he’d won at an auction.
William Wilson, of Cape Coral, Florida, purchased the home on SE 19th Lane at auction Tuesday for $96,000. When he arrived at the home Wednesday to inspect his purchase, he found the body thought to be the previous owner, a woman who had been missing since November 2011, in the master bedroom.
According to a report from The News-Press, local authorities told Wilson that the most recent piece of mail at the house was from November 2011 and the house had three years of unpaid taxes as well.

The corpse was on the floor of the master bedroom next to the bed. Longtime neighbors say an older woman from Miami last lived at the home with her sister, but they hadn't seen or heard from her for several years.
Some thought she moved, others said she just disappeared. Outside, the grass grew long and the community speculated. Inside, Wilson said all that remained were bones, skin and the smell of remains.
"You couldn't tell who it was," Wilson told the News-Press. "You couldn't tell if it was a male or a female … it's disappointing and a sad thing that nobody cared enough to check."
Neighbors told the News-Press that the woman who previously lived at the home was nice but reclusive.
"I had a hunch," Gary Oben, who lived next door, told the News-Press. "Either it was a grow house or there was a dead lady in there."
