The Northwest housing market picked up in June, and strong job growth in the Seattle/King Country region has brokers forecasting brisk sales with competitive bidding throughout the summer, according to the Northwest Multiple Listing Service.
Brokers added 735 more new listings in June than compared to 2013, an increase of 6.8%.
In addition, inventory grew 7.5% compared to last year, while pending sales jumped 4.5% year-over-over.
However, Northwest MLS chairman Darin Stenvers said “not all sellers are feeling movement in their markets,” noting in some northern parts of the state the summer selling season got a late start.
