Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Richard Fisher told CNBC the market should prepare for the eventual exit of quantitative easing, although it’s not expected to come in the very near future.
Still, the Fed Bank president told CNBC the following:
"I understand there's sensitivity, but markets should also bear in mind that this program cannot go on forever," Fisher said in an interview on CNBC. "Our balance sheet has become bloated, and at some point we will have to taper back on the pace of purchases, but that doesn't mean we'll stop. We'll have less accommodation.”
