According to Law360, a Florida Bar referee recommended disbarment for an attorney who was once dubbed Florida's "foreclosure king" and whose firm processed thousands of foreclosure cases before its collapse in 2011.
Judge Nancy Perez, who has been appointed the referee in the case, said David J. Stern should be disbarred for taking on a huge caseload and failing to properly supervise staffers who allegedly mishandled or filed fraudulent court documents.
