Ten wounded veterans and their families received over $300,000 to cover the cost of mortgage-free homes, The Duncan Group announced this week. The firm, which is known for providing the mortgage industry with training and leadership aid, spearheaded the initiative.

More than 1500 mortgage professionals, including 50 of the industry’s top CEOs, will gather in Palm Springs, Fla., to honor the veterans and America's armed forces.

The goal of the Heroes to Homeowners campaign is to not only assist veterans, but to also show the mortgage industry’s desire to help returning veterans secure a place in the local economy.
