Janet Yellen, a potential nominee to lead the Federal Reserve, should have less difficulty getting confirmed by the Senate when compared to Larry Summers, who is now out of the running. But the Financial Times claims some are still cool on Yellen:
Jerry Moran of Kansas, another Republican member of the Senate banking committee, refrained from attacking Ms Yellen directly.
“I continue to have concerns about the inflation risk associated with the Federal Reserve’s quantitative easing program, but I’ll withhold judgment of any potential chairman until a nomination is made by the president,” she said.
