According to Reuters, Dallas Fed Chairman Richard Fisher expressed that it is not a question of when the Federal Reserve will begin tapering, but instead, how much it will choose to scale back.
"The key thing is the cumulative effect (of QE3) and understanding the cost of continuing to do this," Fisher said.
"Even if we do start dialing it back, whenever that is, we still will be buying more" bonds, he added. "It's a question of buying less than we did before."
His comments serve as a key supplement to those of Atlanta Fed Chair Lockhart who said he was not opposed to Fed tapering sooner than later. Just as long as the economy stays steady.
