Online marketplace Trulia (TRLA) has appointed Elizabeth Brown as the company’s vice president of human resources. Brown will bring extensive leadership from LinkedIn, Microsoft and Intuit to the real estate company, where she will lead the next phase of human resource investments as Trulia develops as a public company.
In her new position, Brown will scale the recruitment of new talent across the company, overseeing leadership development internally and bolstering retention to support the long-term growth of Trulia.
"While Trulia is no longer a scrappy startup, we are still at the early stages of our growth as a public company. Elizabeth brings uniquely applicable experience around building high-performing teams as well as hiring and retaining top talent in competitive high-tech environments, and I am thrilled to welcome her to Trulia," said Pete Flint, CEO and co-founder of Trulia.
Flint added, "Talent is at the core of Trulia’s success in building the best real estate tools for consumers and professionals. With Elizabeth leading the charge, we're now better positioned to win the recruiting war for engineering talent by bolstering the HR muscle that we need to recruit top-notch talent, retain our strong culture, and scale the company’s growth in the long term."
Before joining Trulia, Brown spent two years at LinkedIn as the lead of their International Human Resource team for Global Sales and Operations.
