Top team leader Bonneau Ansley on how he is redefining real estate success
In today’s RealTrending, we speak with Bonneau Ansley, founder of Ansley Real Estate / Christie’s International Real Estate and team leader of Team Bonneau in Atlanta.
Ansley recognized early that school was not for him and figured out that his strengths lie in entrepreneurship. From his first business selling tee shirts his freshman year in college to his current position as a RealTrends + Tom Ferry The Thousand team leader, Ansley capitalized on these strengths to build a bustling real estate business. He outlined that success in his book, “Brokering Billions,” and shares some of his secrets today.
Here is a small preview of today’s interview. The transcript below has been lightly edited for length and clarity:
Tracey Velt: Obviously, you have a growth mindset. What are some of the tricks and suggestions you have for agents to get in that mindset when they’re really struggling?
Bonneau Ansley: We know that the inventory is low. So, how are you going to win deals? You have to be completely obsessed. You have to have actors out there and people who are part of your team that are not necessarily really part of your team. Who’s that? That’s the guy that cuts your hair, that’s the valet guy at the expensive restaurants. They all know me by name, they all have my my books and my brochures. When a nice car comes in those guys put it in the passenger seat with my card in it. I give those guys great tips every time I see them. How much business do I have gotten from that?
It’s the bartenders that that hear somebody. I need to find a new house, I got a friend moving into town, just got a divorce or whatever. Those guys will give them my card. Those guys are all part of my team. It’s the accountantsy, it’s the wealth managers.
All those are relationships that I’ve been courting for decades. The business that I get from my team members outside of my core team that I’m paying, those are the ones that really help your business. Don’t take your eyes off that, be creative with people that are outside of your sphere.
