HousingWire dives deep on 2021 housing market forecasts
As we wrap the year, we are rerunning our favorite episodes from 2020, with this episode focusing on the 2021 housing market forecasts. Today’s HousingWire Daily episode features a rerun of our weekly Monday Morning Cup of Coffee interview with HW+ Managing Editor Brena Nath and Magazine Editor Kelsey Ramírez, which is hosted live on Facebook every Monday. In this interview, they review the HousingWire December/January Magazine issue, which is a part of HW+ Premium Content, and also highlight the HousingWire editorial team’s coverage on the the top projections for the year ahead for every sector of the housing industry.
Here is a small preview of today’s interview on the 2021 housing market forecasts. The transcript below has been lightly edited for length and clarity:
Brena Nath: Kicking off with the first question that we always like to ask, what is one story that you’re following closely right now?
Kelsey Ramirez: I think one of the things that we’re following closely is the changeover to the new administration headed into 2021. That’s going to mean a lot of changes. A lot of policy changes, a lot of people changes. We saw over the past couple of weeks that they announced Janet Yellen as the head of the U.S. Treasury, and I think right now we’re watching who is going to be the head of the CFPB. That hasn’t been announced yet, but we’re keeping an eye out for it. That’s going to have a lot of implications for lenders and everyone headed into 2021. So definitely something we have our eye on.
